Introduction

Radar7 ("we," "our," or "us") operates radar7.app, a map-based event discovery platform. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our service.

Information We Collect

Information You Provide

Account Information. If you create an account, we collect your email address and any profile information you choose to provide. Accounts are optional and used for saving preferences and promoting events you create.

Event Submissions. If you create or promote events on Radar7, we collect the event details you submit, including event name, description, location, date, time, and any associated images.

Payment Information. If you purchase event promotion services, payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number or full payment details—Stripe handles this securely. We receive only confirmation of payment and basic transaction details necessary for our records.

Information Collected Automatically

Location Data. With your permission, we access your device's location to center the map and show nearby events. You can deny or revoke this permission at any time through your browser settings; the service remains functional without it.

Local Storage. We store your current session state (such as map position, filters, and search query) in your browser's local storage. This data remains on your device and is not transmitted to our servers.

Log Data. Our hosting provider (Vercel) automatically collects standard server logs, which may include your IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps. This data is used for security, performance monitoring, and debugging.

Information We Do Not Currently Collect

We do not currently track your search history, browsing behavior, or build user profiles for advertising purposes. In the future, we may offer personalized event recommendations based on your search history—if we implement this feature, we will update this policy and notify you before collecting such data.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide and operate the Radar7 service
  • Display events on the map based on your location and search criteria
  • Maintain your account and saved preferences
  • Process payments for event promotion services
  • Respond to your inquiries and support requests
  • Improve and optimize our platform
  • Protect against fraud and abuse

How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the following circumstances:

Service Providers. We use third-party services to operate Radar7:

  • Vercel – Hosting and infrastructure
  • Neon – Database services
  • Mapbox – Map display and geocoding
  • Stripe – Payment processing

These providers access only the data necessary to perform their services and are bound by their own privacy policies.

Legal Requirements. We may disclose information if required by law, such as in response to a subpoena or court order, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.

Business Transfers. If Radar7 is acquired or merged with another company, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change.

Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or legitimate business purposes (such as transaction records).

Session data stored in your browser's local storage can be cleared at any time through your browser settings.

Your Choices

Account Deletion. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at support@radar7.app. This will remove your saved preferences and account information.

Location Access. You can enable or disable location access through your browser settings at any time.

Local Storage. You can clear local storage through your browser's developer tools or settings.

Communication Preferences. If you receive emails from us, you can unsubscribe using the link provided in each email.

Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure database access controls, and regular security reviews. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children's Privacy

Radar7 is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by posting the updated policy on our website with a new "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of Radar7 after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
